Free workshop

Join us for free, to see what types of classes your student might enjoy! Twice a month, we offer a free introductory workshop that encompasses a little bit of everything we have available. During this trial class, we will explore the various elements of STEAM, and complete short activities that are related to the projects done in PinkyInc classes. Intro workshops are a great opportunity for students to be involved in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, while participating in a PinkyInc class environment.

This workshop is offered as a trial, and is limited to one per student, for every 60 days. We have one workshop per month for students who are 4-8 years old, and one workshop per month for students who are 9-14 years old. Each workshop is 90 minutes. Must sign up with PinkyInc staff or through our website at www.pinkyinc.com in advance.

July 10th - Stop Motion Animation (5:00PM - 6:00PM)
Stop motion animation is an awesome introduction to the world of filmmaking! Stop motion animation is a filmmaking technique that makes inanimate objects appear to move on their own. In this class, students will learn about the different components in a stop motion animation, including everything from story generation and character development, to production and presentation! Our magnificent teachers engage students in an exciting discovery of techniques used for stop motion animation, while cultivating an environment filled with team building, collaboration, and productivity. As we learn about the process together, students are able to apply this learning to create their own short animations! Students in this class will be able to save their creation and share it with friends and family outside of class.

July 17th - 3D Pen & Architecture (5:00PM - 6:00PM)
See your sketches come to life in our 3D creation class! Exploring concepts in math, history, chemistry, physics, architecture, engineering, art, and design, our teachers demonstrate the step-by-step evolution of a 2D drawing to a tangible 3D model. Beginning with pencil and paper, students will complete an illustration, and using the 3D pen, trace their drawings to create a 3D version of their creation. Together, we will construct objects such as molecules, geometric figures, buildings, prosthetics, and even the London Bridge and Eiffel Tower! Students will be able to bring their finished creations home to share with friends and family.

July 24th - Programming & Circuitry (5:00PM - 6:00PM)
The makings of a coder start here. Using various platforms to teach circuitry and block-based and text-based programming, we guide students through coding their own animations, games, apps, robots, and more! They apply the skills they learn, while seeing their learning take action right before their eyes! This is a great way for students to develop and enhance their understanding of programming and circuitry, while learning about the ways things work, and why they work. As a class, we use each other to help determine the best routes to take with our programming. Students will be able to build upon their work independently, to create something of their very own.
