Racers, start your engines! While engaging in the basics of physics and engineering, students learn the components of designing, building, and racing a car, plane, and anything else they can think of to make out of everyday materials.
As an introduction to engineering and physics, students take part in a fun and simplified race car challenge! The focus of this class is on a car design powered by a rubber band. With our teachers, students will construct rubber band powered cars from everyday objects. Together, they will test their rubber band cars, evaluate their results, and determine the effectiveness of their design. Students will show-off their Rubber Band Racer at the end of the class in the ultimate challenge, and will be able to take their designs home to share with friends and family.
