Stop motion animation is an awesome introduction to the world of filmmaking! Stop motion animation is a filmmaking technique that makes inanimate objects appear to move on their own.
Our younger learners are guided through the creation of a stop motion animation, with the help of imaginative teachers. Together, they choose a theme and plot to develop a storyline with characters, while learning how to collaborate effectively in order to create a short film. Students will learn all components to stop motion animation, and apply them to create a version of a short film they helped create. Students will put their own spin on their animation, and will be able to save their creation and share it with friends and family outside of class.
